Purpose and service overview

Parking areas, sidewalks, entry zones, landscaped edges, and designated exterior common areas. Daily, weekly, or custom rounds based on site size and appearance standards.

Typical scope inclusions

The following are examples of tasks that may be included when specifically listed in the proposal or service schedule:

  • Litter pickup in designated parking and pedestrian areas
  • Entry and curb-line appearance rounds
  • Collection of loose, non-hazardous litter
  • Reporting of larger debris, spills, or maintenance hazards

Items that require separate review or pricing

To avoid scope gaps, the following are not assumed to be included unless expressly agreed in writing:

  • Oil/chemical spill remediation
  • Snow/ice removal unless contracted
  • Landscaping, sweeping machinery, pothole repair, or striping unless included
  • Handling needles, sharps, or hazardous materials without approved protocol

Service delivery sequence

  1. Review site information, service areas, surfaces, and access requirements.
  2. Confirm work window, site contact, safety rules, and materials/equipment responsibilities.
  3. Perform tasks in the agreed order and protect adjacent finishes and occupied areas.
  4. Complete the agreed checklist and report any blocked, unsafe, or inaccessible areas.
  5. Coordinate inspection, correction of included deficiencies, and closeout.

Quality review and completion

Completion should be evaluated against the written scope and agreed acceptance criteria—not an undefined expectation of “everything.” The client and service provider should identify the areas inspected, any exceptions, and any follow-up work authorized.

Frequently asked questions

Can this service be included in a larger contract?

Yes. Related services can be combined in a proposal when the scope, pricing, schedule, and responsibilities are clearly identified.

Can you price from plans and specifications?

Bid documents can be submitted for review. A walkthrough or clarification may still be required to validate site conditions and quantities.

What happens if the scope changes?

Changes should be documented, priced, and approved by the authorized client representative before additional work proceeds, except for immediate safety actions.
